2nd game was against Chang Chun Team 1, and Sionghwai played against JC. We won 2-1. 3rd game was against Tian Yuan Team and it was quite a good fight. Li Chao made a mistake and almost lost. Fortunately he brought back the game in the end and won.

P.S. Hope to find a camera-man who can help me take photos when the game starts... Cos sometimes I would take too long to finish the game and won't have time to take photos...

P.P.S Wei Lai just bought the Canon Powershot G10 recently and was showing it off to me... He was comparing the photos my camera took and his camera took. Even though it's a compact camera, it has better specifications then mine, and it can take Macro photos also. Haiz... I wish I could get a better camera too. 450D is like... so old...

Anyway, hope you don't mind that I give some comments on your photos. Since I'm also an amateur, its just some silly suggestions.
You seem to make 2 very fundamental mistakes.
One is the head space of your focus. Some times too narrow, some times too wide.
Second is that the lighting or aperture exposure is really inconsistent.
You seem to take a lot of indoor shots, you should get some highlights in for the darker shots or it looks dull.
The composition of some shots are a little off.
For example, rules of third, dominant hue, symmetry, direction and others.
Hope it helps and doesn't come off as arrogance.
BTW, I think weilai should have waited and buy oly ep1. Its a good choice though, g10 and lx3 or leica 4 are very good compact cameras.

Hmm, I haven't really started my research yet so I don't really understand some points you made... What do you mean by head space of focus? Is it supposed to be the same for every photo? What do you mean by getting highlights in for the darker shots?
For the lighting and aperture, usually I let the camera decide by using the P mode. If I set my own aperture etc I can't good photos... Although that has got to do with my poor skills. Is it better if it is consistent?
How can I improve the composition? I learnt about the rule of third, but it's hard to apply... It's quite hard to see where the imaginary lines are, and I can't see what difference it makes...
Do you have MSN? Hope to interact more with you on this topic, haha. Any good sites where I can learn this kind of stuff?
Your camera is also G10 if I remember correctly? I'm thinking of getting another camera next year...

1)Head space is the space above the head of the person/object. It is easier to understand if you search for good photographer's portrait pic and compare theirs to yours.
2)Highlights are the brightest tone of the picture, imagine a metal piece, a part of it shines right? thats the highlight. Highlight makes a picture less dull and more dynamic.
3)Aperture and lighting... I told you on msn already.
4)Dominant hue in photography means a picture with a single dominant color.

If you look properly, all the photos on this set is dominant on orange.
5)Rules of third is a fundamental composition if you don't know how to compose a photo. You don't need to follow it if you got an eye of beauty and can mentally and visually compose a photo.
Imagine thirds on a photo. The 4 intersections should be the focus of what you are trying to show. Simply put, you can place the important focus on the intersections.
Any streamline, skyline or landscape for the matter should be go with the lines.
6)symmetry.

all the merkats are facing one direction. It is interesting to have a single break of direction though. (like 1 merkat looking other way while others are facing somewhere.

8)Black and white makes emotion and shapes more distinguished but i wouldn't say color does not as well. It is more of preference or result you are looking for.
As for camera angles and whatsnot, I leave it for another time.

I've been experiencing some problems... Sometimes, the shutter speed and F-stop is exactly the same, but I don't know why I get photos with different brightness (different mode was used, though, such as AV and TV). And I don't know where to put the focus on when taking group shots or pictures with more than 1 people... What about the setting when I'm using flash?
